Count Guy Evans Sr., 92, a native of Oklahoma and a resident of Vicksburg, Miss., died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg.
He retired from the U.S. Government and worked in a Waterway Experiment Station and was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Count Evans Jr., of Monroeville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Malone of Rogers and Doris Brooks, both of Rogers, Ark., and Lorene Huckstep, Oakmulgee, Okla.; and son-in-law, Jim Lackey of Cumming, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Evans and his daughter, Glenda Lackey.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 8 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial followed at Stockton Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
