Eugene V. “Gene” Joyce, 95, a native of Ravenna, Texas, and a resident of Robertsdale, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011.
He was a member of the Shriners for over 50 years, was a retired lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Army and a former member of the Robertsdale Industrial Board.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Ruth M. Hinote Joyce of Robertsdale; daughter, Karen Ann Joyce of Ruidoso, N.M.; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14 at Mack Funeral Home with funeral services at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Loxley.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Robertsdale First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1140, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
