Eugene “Plow” Thompson, 72, a native and a resident of Loxley, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013.

Mr. Thompson loved Alabama football and watching old Western movies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Pauline Thompson; brothers, Elmer Phillips and Eddie Thompson; and daughter, Jeanie Thompson.

He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Thompson of Loxley; three sons, Richard Thompson of California, Steven Thompson of Knoxville, Tenn. and David Eugene Thompson of Talent, Ore.; three sisters, Evelyn Griffin of Loxley, Evonne Goram of Seminole and Edna Earle Bauter of Pensacola; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Loxley Church of God, with the Rev. Herman Knapp officiating. Burial will be in Rosinton Road Cemetery, Loxley.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 6-8 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home.
