Esther Marie Pittman Clark passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, in Foley, Alabama. Surrounding her in love and prayers were most of her nine siblings, cousins, two sons and close friends. She was the second child of ten, born August 29, 1947, in Mobile, Alabama, and preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph Pittman of Pensacola, Florida, and June Rita Fearn Pittman of Mobile. Her early childhood was in Biloxi, Mississippi and she lived most of her adult life in Daphne, Mobile and Foley, Alabama.
Esther is survived by two sons, Jack K. Clark, III and Dennis Edward Clark of Daphne; five grandchildren, Muhammad Hanino, Joni Clark, Jack (Tessa) Clark, Julie Anna Baas, Jacob Clark; seven great-grandchildren, Dante Clark, Vanessa Clark, Marissa Jackson Alice Heidepriem, Trevor Baas and Dennis E. Clark of Mobile; her surviving siblings, W. Douglas Pittman (Creel) of Brentwood, Tennessee, Anna C. Davis of Gulfport, MS, Anthony Pittman (Brenda) of Loxley, Alabama, Vories E. Pittman of Fairhope, Alabama, Rita L. Davis (Mike) of Stockton, Alabama, Joe B. Pittman (Gay) of Hazel Green, Alabama, David J. Pittman (Julee) of Fairhope, Alabama, William J. Pitman, Jr. of Stockton, Alabama and Mary J. Pittman of Summerdale, Alabama, who were all at her side for many years and her very close friend, Tony Killingsworth.
Esther attended Christ the King School in Daphne and graduated from Fairhope High School in Fairhope, Alabama. After graduation she attended nursing school in Mobile and worked in several Mobile hospitals before settling in Foley.
Esther faithfully attended St. Margaret-Scotland Catholic Church in Foley, Alabama. She is remembered for her devotion to Mary and daily reciting of the Rosary.
A graveside service will be held at Belforest Catholic Cemetery, 26063 Baileys Drive, Daphne, Alabama, on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at 10 a.m.
