The first summer art class was held on Saturday, June 4 at Drowsy Poet @ The Foley Station. The theme for the class was Permanent Chalk Paintings.

FOLEY — Have an interest in art or looking to learn more about the creative process? Then join in on the fun all summer long with multiple "Sensational Summer Art Classes." Classes are taught by local artist and veteran teacher Ragan Windsor, and cost $10 per student. Pre-registration is required. All materials are provided.

While classes began with the target audience being students in grades one through five, the classes are now open to all ages. The objective of the classes is to introduce students to methods, materials and a variety of subjects for creating artworks.

Remaining class dates are Wednesday, June 29 at the Foley Art Center (Terrific Tie-Dye/Color Themes), Wednesday, July 6 at By the Bay Creations (Rockin' Rock Painting), and Wednesday, July 20 at Our Coffee, Foley location (Water Soluble Paintings/Perky Plants). Each session goes from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
