GULF SHORES, Ala. — Put away the cell phones and get your seats because there’s a new teacher in town and he’s ready to instruct the 31 students of “School House Rock Live! Jr.,” July 16-18 and July 23-25, at South Baldwin Community Theatre in Gulf Shores.

Join new teacher Tom Mizer (Ryan Williams) as he gets ready for his first day as a teacher and faces his new-job jitters in a different sort of way.

Meet Interplanet Janet, Bill, the Great American Melting Pot and the Conjunction Junction gang as they spend some time showing Tom how he can do his lessons.

Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday shows are at 2.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students.
