Employees of Local Business Rally Around Fellow Co-Workers in Need

Posted

Beloved Employee, Nell Portella, works in the housekeeping department of Westminster Village Life Care Retirement Community in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Her sister, Suzanne Mullen, works in Nursing. Nell is donating a much needed kidney to her sister in a dual surgery that will take place on May 21st,  and their fellow employees are doing all they can to help them in their time of need. Westminster Village employees have donated over 230 hours of their vacation time to insure that these two and other employees do not have to go without pay after their medical leave time is depleted. Several other money raising ideas were conceived by employees to benefit these two in handling some of the costs of their care.
