Emergency management professionals and public safety partners will have an opportunity to strengthen their all-hazards response capabilities during a two-day training course hosted at the Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency in March.

The Emergency Operations Center Operations and Planning for All Hazards course, also known as MGT 346, will be held March 17 and 18 at the Baldwin County EMA Emergency Operations Center, located at 23100 McAuliffe Drive in Robertsdale. The course begins at 8 a.m. each day.

The training focuses on the roles, responsibilities and coordination functions of an Emergency Operations Center, emphasizing planning and operational decision-making during incidents that require multiagency response. The course is designed for emergency managers, first responders, government officials and others who may staff or support an EOC during disasters or large-scale emergencies.

There are 30 seats available for the course. While there are no formal prerequisites, organizers strongly recommend participants complete the FEMA Emergency Management Institute IS-2200 Basic EOC Functions course prior to attending.

The course is delivered through the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, a member of the Texas A&M University System.

Registration is available online at https://my.teex.org/TeexPortal/Default.aspx?MO=mCourseCatalog&D=F&P&C=MGT346&S=649.
