Elzada (Zade) White, a lifelong resident of Foley, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2026, in Foley at 101 years of age.
She was a licensed cosmetologist and opened her own shop in Foley in 1947 and continued working into her early 80’s. Her work extended beyond her shop to her church, First Baptist Church of Foley and volunteering her services to help her community, friends and family.
Ms. White was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 yrs, Harold White in 2003 and her son, Johnny White in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ham and Nora Dugger; sister, Mildred Kleinschmidt; and three brothers, Walter, Dana and Hubert Dugger.
She is survived by her daughter Patsy Jordan and husband Allen of Katy, Texas; daughter-in-law Gail White, of Foley, six Grandchildren: Amy Smith and her husband Matt of Southlake, Texas; Scott Jordan and his wife Lori of Katy, Texas.; Lt. Col. & M.D. Kevin Jordan and his wife Amelia of Seattle, Washington; Page Cruz and her husband Rudy of Fairhope; Troy White and his wife Suzanne of Foley and Skye Hughes of Foley; 18 Great-Grandchildren; four Great- Great Grandchildren; and beloved extended family and friends she held dear to her heart.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Diversicare of Foley for their compassionate love, care and kindness they extended to our loving mother and grandmother since 2017 and to Community Hospice of Foley in the recent months prior to her passing.
A graveside service will be held on Fri., Feb. 6, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Rest Cemetery in Foley.
