Elimination round under way in Jubilee City 7-on-7 Championship

DAPHNE, Alabama – The first round of double-elimination play for Daphne High’s Jubilee City 7-on-7 Championship begins at 1 p.m. and the championship game is set for 5 p.m. today at Al Trione Park on Whispering Pines Road.

The pass-only tournament football event wrapped up pool play this morning. Bayside Academy and Robertsdale met this morning with the Admirals pulling away from a 17-17 tie late in the game for a 26-17 win over the Golden Bears.

Teams from Auburn, Belle Chase and Mandeville of Louisiana, Charles Henderson of Troy, Carver of Montgomery, Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Catholic of Florida along with Prattville, Blount, Mobile Christian and Williamson make up the other varsity teams in the playoff rounds.
