Educators are known for giving students awards, but sometimes, outstanding teachers and administrators are recognized for their own achievements. This year, in addition to announcing Ashley McPhillips as elementary teacher of the year and Robert McKillion as secondary teacher of the year, the Baldwin County School system is able to recognize a statewide award winner. March 6, Elberta Elementary School Principal Hope Zeanah was named the Alabama winner of the National Distinguished Principals Award.
