Edna Vines Haskett-Vealey

Edna Vines Haskett-Vealey, a resident of Foley, passed away Oct. 29, 2014 at home with her daughter at her side.

Edna was born Feb. 7, 1930 in Birmingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Rilla Vines of Maytown; her husband of 49 years, Bob Haskett; and her second husband of nine years, Robert Vealey.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Pam (Terry) Heilmeiere; three sisters, Emily (Ralph) Goolsby, Gail Hill and Brenda (Jim) Fuller; two nieces, Crystal (Glenn) Cook and Amber Bodle; two nephews, Jason Goolsby and Kevin (Ann) Goolsby; and four stepdaughters, Rose Brock, Roberta (John) Mann, Roxanne (Steve) Jackler and Robyn (Steve) Ward.

Edna was a longtime volunteer at the Foley Senior Center. She assisted with many dances, potlucks and other special events. She loved to dance.

She was an avid NASCAR fan and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 99 in Foley.

Edna was blessed with many good friends and her granddog, Baron. She loved him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Foley First Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Edna to Foley First Presbyterian Church, 195 E. Berry Ave., Foley, AL 36535.
