Edie Belle Wood, 59, a native of Loxley, former resident of Bay Minette and a resident of Eight Mile for the past five years, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 in Eight Mile.
She was an ordained minister and Sunday School teacher for the House of Prayer in Bay Minette.
She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Douglas Wood.
Survivors include her husband the Rev. Charles McMillan of Eight Mile; son, Jerry Anthony Wood of Jackson; two step-sons, Jimmy Booth of Citronelle and Terry Booth of Galveston, Texas; three daughters, Zelma Jannette Brown of Washington State, Edith Marie Higginbotham of Eight Mile and Angel Lee Shipley of Elberta; six step-daughters, Brenda Reid of Citronelle, Glenda Wilson, Linda Robinson, Belinda Russo and Gayle Howle, all of Eight Mile, and Faye Malone of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mitchell Blair of Bay Minette and Dwight Blair of Slidell, La.; and two sisters, Marsha Stuckey of Foley and Sonja Bond of Washington State.
Visitation will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 at the House of Prayer in Bay Minette. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3 at the House of Prayer with the Rev. Ed McMillan officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jeff Silvers, Jerry Richardson, Corey Silvers, Clinton Wilson, Steven McMillan and Bradley Mosley.
