DAPHNE, Ala.—Laser tag, an arcade, snack bar, adult pool table and more are coming to the Eastern Shore.
Eastern Shore Lanes in Daphne — a 35,000-square-foot building in the Renaissance Center commercial area of Daphne — includes 24 Brunswick bowling lanes, full-service family restaurant, snack bar, adult billiard room, arcade room, party rooms (with birthday party packages), laser tag and a pro shop.
Eastern Shore Lanes features Dusty’s Sports Bar & Grill, with decor that depicts the sports industry and casual family dining. The casual dining ambiance, food quality and the restaurant will also feature a full-service bar with live entertainment or karaoke on selected nights.
The Cole family has been in the seafood restaurant business for 40 years, from running a fleet of shrimp boats for years to operating a seafood restaurant.
“We will bring our knowledge of the seafood and restaurant business together as we have here at The Gulf Bowl in Foley, Ala.,” a spokesperson said. “We have been written up in Coastal Living Magazine for the best ‘Shrimp Po-Boy’ in Alabama and the current 2010 South Baldwin Chamber Magazine .
“The facility will be the most modern facility in the Eastern Shore area. It automates the score-keeping, produces score printouts for each game, shows the bowler how to make a spare, provides league secretarial services to include keeping all required league bowling records.”
The Coles have been in the bowling industry for 50 years.
“We just celebrated our 50th anniversary in October 2009 at our Foley location (The Gulf Bowl),” a spokesperson said. “We are proud to bring to the Eastern Shore, Fairhope and surrounding areas a beautiful family entertainment center.
“People from all over have asked us to please consider putting a bowling center in the Eastern Shore area. So without a doubt we have moved forward with this project and will be expected to open in 2011.”
