Eastern Shore Chamber promotes 'local stimulus' over holidays

Posted

The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce is working on a stimulus campaign during the holiday season called “Ten by Twelve.” Instead of purchasing and sending greeting cards, the Chamber board members, ambassadors and staff will spend $10 with local Chamber members during the holiday season before Jan. 1.

The campaign is more symbolic and a gesture of goodwill and the Chamber is encouraging the entire community to spend their own dollars locally. For every $10 dollars spent, approximately $30 to $50 will be generated within the community through taxes, employee wages and purchase of materials and supplies at other local business.

Support local businesses. Support those who help support local charities. If you are seeking items or services simply visit theEastern Shore Chamber of Commerce website and browse through the Chamber’s membership directory. Or give the Chamber a call at 251-928-6387 or 251-621-8222 to get a referral by one of the staff members.
