The Eastern Shore Art Center will welcome families to a free afternoon of art, education and animal-themed activities during “Art of the Paw” on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the Eastern Shore Art Center, 401 Oak St. in Fairhope, a news release said. The event is open to all ages.

Guests can participate in interactive booths, explore a pop-up exhibit featuring cat- and dog-themed artwork and create their own art through make-and-take projects.

The Baldwin Humane Society will also return for a special adoption event as part of the festivities. Event Chair Katie Sneed will spearhead the event.

“We are excited to have Baldwin Humane Society set up with a special adoption event!” Sneed said in the release.

The event is sponsored by the Thompson Animal Hospital, with additional funding provided through the Support The Arts Tag Grant.

For more information, contact Adrienne Clow, marketing director, at Adrienne@esartcenter.org or (928) 222-8228, ext. 103.
