St. Mark’s Lutheran Church will host a pair of Easter services April 5, beginning with a sunrise gathering at Camp Dixie and followed by a morning service at the church, with both events open to the community.

The Easter Sunrise Service is set for 6:30 a.m. at Camp Dixie, 29711 Josephine Drive. Attendees are invited to remain after the service for a continental breakfast.

Later that morning, a second Easter service will take place at 9:45 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 13220 Main Street. During the first Easter hymn, children of the congregation will process into the sanctuary carrying live flowers, a tradition that highlights the celebration of the season.

Organizers are encouraging attendees to participate by bringing flowers from their own gardens if available. Both services are open to the public.
