Families in Lillian are invited to celebrate the season as the Optimist Club of Perdido Bay continues its longstanding tradition of bringing the Easter Bunny to town for a community egg hunt and family gathering.
The annual Community Easter Egg Hunt is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4 at Lillian Recreational Park, 33914 Widell Avenue. Organizers ask parents to arrive by 10:15 a.m. and gather in front of the pavilion, where instructions for the hunt will be provided before children begin searching for hidden eggs throughout the park.
The Easter Bunny, a centerpiece of the event for many years, will be on hand to meet families and pose for photos following the hunt.
In addition to the egg hunt, attendees can enjoy complimentary refreshments, including hot dogs, chips and drinks, creating a relaxed setting for families to spend time together.
The event is sponsored by the Optimist Club of Perdido Bay in partnership with Lillian Recreational Park and local churches, reflecting a community-wide effort to provide a free, family-friendly celebration.
Volunteers are encouraged to assist with the event. Those interested can call or text (251) 234-1122 for more information.
