James Robert “Jimmy” Duck, 57, a native and lifelong resident of Loxley, died Monday, April 9, 2007.
He was employed at Flowerwood Nursery for over 30 years and was a supervisor and a life long member of the Loxley United Methodist Church. He was an Alabama Football fan, loved music and loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Pittman Duck of Loxley; daughter, Melinda Duck (M. Scott) Harville of Loxley; son, J. Robert Duck, Jr. of Mobile; two sisters, Amy (Jerry) Thomas of Foley and Laura (Stacey) Brown of Loxley; brother, Pat (Anita) Duck of Loxley and onegrandson, Hayden Scott Harville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the Loxley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Batchelor and The Rev. Jim Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Loxley United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 69, Loxley, AL 36551.
