Jazzmyn Rache “Jazz” Dubuisson, 20, born March 9, 1988 in Mt. Holly, N.J., died April 26, 2008 in Gulf Shores.

She was a member of Lagoon Baptist Church in Gulf Shores where she was a nursery volunteer and Vacation Bible School teaching assistant and group leader from 1999-2005.

As a 2006 graduate of Gulf Shores High School, her accomblishments included being a People to People European Ambassador (France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany) in 1999, Duke Talent Search participant, A/B honor roll 2000-2005, National Honor Roll in 2005, several high placements of compeitition for illustration, writing and video in the Technology Students of America, and the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in 2005 and 2006.

Her extracirricular high school activities included Art Club, Interact Club, Leadership Excellence Opportunity Club and cheerleading.

She was enrolled and studying at the University of South Alabama where she was a sorority sister in the Chi Omega Fraternity, Bacchus and Agape.

Survivors include her mother, Jeri Malynn Dubuisson; brother, Jereme Dubuisson; nephew, Sonny Dai Dubuisson, all of Gulf Shores; sister, Jenifer Tietsort-Hart, and niece, Alexus Malynn Hart of Summerdale; grandmother, Betty Jean Dubuisson, and grandfather, jerry Dubuisson of Gulf Shores, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins in Alabama and Pennsylvania, plus her father and his family, E. Chrles Gist; brother, Michael Beatty, grandmother, Suzie Gist, all of Chester, S.C., sister, Tiffany Gist of Savannah, Ga.; devoted lifelong friend, Amanda Paige King of Gulf Shores, other family members and coutless other friends.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3 at Lagoon Baptist Church.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Lagoon Baptist Church and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The family wishes to thank Mack Funeral Home and Lagoon Baptist Church for their assistance in making arrangements.
