Rachael Caroline Dreger, a native of Philadelphia and a resident of Foley, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at a local hospital.
She was a charter member of the “Spastics” golf group at Glenlakes Golf Club. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Foley Chapter and was a Real Estate agent in the Atlanta area.
She was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, Pa. She was a super wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Philip James Dreger Jr. of Foley; four children, Philip James (Karen) Dreger III of Duluth, Ga., Richard James (Julie) Dreger of Roswell, Ga., Victoria Patricia (Joseph) Tate of Atlanta, and Lisa Patricia (Stan) Jewell of Brentwood, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Jessica Dreger, Philip J. Dreger IV, Richard J. Dreger Jr., Mary Reid Dreger, Zachary Jewell, Jordan Jewell, Jake Dreger, Oliver Jewell and Lillian Jewell; two sisters, Joanne Updegrave of Chadds Ford, Pa., and Dianne LeGreco of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; sister-in-law, Patricia Rossi of Greer, S.C.; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Sunday, June 17 at Pine Rest Funeral Home.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Meals On Wheels, Foley Chapter, c/o Linda Konair, 219 W. Palm Ave., Foley, AL 36535.
