Dream Center of Baldwin County names Felicia Chesmer as new director

Posted

The Dream Center of Baldwin County has named Felicia Chesmer as its new director as the nonprofit expands prevention focused services for youth and families across Baldwin County.

Chesmer brings more than twenty seven years of public service experience, combining leadership in law enforcement with prevention based youth services centered on accountability, early intervention and family involvement. Her background aligns with the organization’s mission to address challenges facing young people before they escalate and to strengthen support systems at home and in school.

The announcement comes during the school year, a time when after school mentorship and prevention programs are especially critical. The Dream Center’s work focuses on early intervention designed to keep youth connected to their schools, families and positive mentors, helping reduce risk factors while promoting long term stability.

The program includes after school mentorship and prevention education for local youth, offering structured support during out of school hours. These services aim to provide guidance, build life skills and foster healthy relationships between youth and caring adults.
