Downtown Foley will host its November Third Thursday event on Nov. 20 from 5-7 p.m., offering residents an early chance to kick off their holiday shopping while enjoying the festive glow of downtown lights.

The event invites the community to explore local boutiques and independent shops, discover unique gifts and enjoy specials from participating merchants according to a news release.

"Our November Third Thursday is designed to make your holiday preparations enjoyable and stress-free," said Darrelyn Dunmore, executive director, said in the release. "We're inviting everyone to come explore our beautiful downtown, discover the charm of local businesses and find those special, one-of-a-kind gifts that truly stand out from big box store offerings. Plus, a selection of our merchants will be offering enticing specials to welcome you!"

Shoppers will find opportunities to purchase gifts not typically available in larger stores, from personalized items to one-of-a-kind pieces. As visitors stroll the downtown area, festive lights will illuminate streets and storefronts, creating a holiday atmosphere for families and friends. Participating businesses will offer discounts, exclusive deals and other promotions throughout the evening.

"Shopping local this holiday season not only means finding more unique and thoughtful gifts, but it also directly supports our local economy and the entrepreneurial spirit that makes Foley special," Dunmore added. "We encourage everyone to come down, see what's new, take advantage of the specials and experience the magic of our downtown."

The event promises an evening of shopping, lights, and community spirit, making it an ideal start to the holiday season. For a full list of participating businesses and specials, visit https://downtown-foley-third-thursdays-25323.grwebsite.com/.
