Julia Dye Downing, 56 died on Friday, July 4, 2008 at a Pensacola hospital.
She was the owner and instructor of South Alabama Beauty College in Foley. She was a member of the United Penecostal Holiness Church in Foley. She was a devoted mother and instructor.
Survivors include a daughter Melissa (Athar) Ali of Spring Texas; son, Sean (girlfriend Trish Pegram) Downing of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Ruth Castellon of Delray Beach, Fla., Faye Tickle of Los Angles and Mary Ann Wells of Albuquerque, N.M.; two nieces, Karen Castellon and Valerie Wells; nephew, Chris Tickle; and her best friend Annie Gray.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 8 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9 at United Penecoatal Holiness Church in Foley. Internment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley.
