Donald Lee Boharic, former resident of Lorain, Ohio, and a resident of Foley, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 1, 2010.

He was married to Rosemary for 64 years.

He served his country admirably during World War II and ran a successful building/contracting business. He had many interests, getting his pilot’s license at an early age he loved all things aeronautical. He continued to build and fly model airplanes.

He loved coming up with new inventions and loved sharing his business and building knowledge with anyone who might need help. He was loved and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include two nephews, Robert Boharic (Rachel) and Edward Boharic, both of Florida, and niece Robin Jorgensen (Paul) of Massachusetts; two grand nieces, Allison and Katharine Jorgensen, and three grand nephews, Christopher, Timothy and D.J. Boharic.

He donated his body to the Anatomical Society at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine to continue to help future generations.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 at the First Presbyterian Church of Foley, 195 East Berry Ave.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America or First Presbyterian Church of Foley.
