Donald Eugene Ingram of Opelika passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at East Alabama Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Catherine Ingram; children, Rebecca Ingram, Reed (Courtney) Clark, Randell (Oksane) Clark, Elizabeth (Josh) Chastang; grandchild, Jaxon Clark; brother, Butch Ingram; sister, Patricia (Dudley) Barnett; nephews, Tim (Sheri) Ingram, Steven Barnett; niece, Tina (Richard) Kelley; and several loving extended family members.

Don, affectionately known as Mr. Don, Daddy and Poppa, peacefully passed away Sunday at 2:30 a.m. He was a great husband, father, stepfather, poppa to his beloved grandson Jaxon, brother and uncle.

We are proud of his many accomplishments in life, including his service to our country as an Army Ranger in Vietnam, successful business owner in Gulf Shores, deacon at Providence Baptist Church in Opelika, member of American Legion Post 44 in Gulf Shores, Stalkers Syndicate hunting club and, most of all, a great husband.

He loved hunting, fishing, sail boating, traveling, studying history, collecting model trains and antiques, volunteering at the church, playing Xbox games with his stepson Randell, and spending time with his wife and the dogs at home. He will be greatly missed by his friends, fellow church members, and family.

Visitation was from 5-6 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, West Campus, with the Memorial Service at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016. Dr. Rusty Sowell officiated.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Providence Baptist Church Building Fund or St. Jude.
