Donald Allen “Duck” Gunnison, 73, a native of Mobile, a longtime resident of Fairhope and a resident of Loxley, died Friday, April 15, 2011.
He was the owner of Gunnison Builders for more than 20 years. He retired after many years working in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Iva Gunnison.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene Gunnison of Loxley; two sons, Kevin (Jacque) Gunnison of Huntsville and Todd Gunnison (Tori Miller) of Fairhope; daughter, Shea Gunnison (Ricky) Reed of Silverhill; grandchildren, Britt Allen and Amy Brooke Gunnison, Hunter and Miles Gunnison and Tanner Reed; great-granddaughter, Talyn Gunnison; loyal K9 companion, Scooter; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at noon with funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday, April 18 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Robertsdale. Interment will follow at Montrose Cemetery.
