SENECA, South Carolina—The Fairhope Dixie Boys 14 All Stars improved to 2-0 in their World Series tournament in Seneca, South Carolina Sunday defeating the host team South Carolina 15-6 to stay unbeaten after an opening-round win over Florida 10-8 Saturday. Philip Martin got the start and the win.
Tied 3-3 after three innings, Kody Gratkowski hit a 2-run homer to begin a 10-3 scoring run for Alabama.
The Alabama team from Fairhope of Brett Bishop, Tevin Brown, Chancellor Childress, Peyton Galich, Gratkowski, David Hall, Brandon Jones, Camden Layton, Mason Lockhart, Martin, Brett Mosley and Caleb Rogers along with coaches Kevin Galich, Mark Gratkowski and Mike Jones play at 1 p.m. Eastern Time Monday.
