South Baldwin Regional Medical Center Women’s Advisory / Healthy Woman Committee will host The Diva Dash 5K & Family Walk on Saturday, March 31.

Now in it’s fourth year (formerly the Stargazer Run), proceeds benefit uninsured or underinsured women in medical need through Ecumenical Ministries.

Bancorp South is the 2012 Gold Sponsor of the Diva Dash. The 5K race begins 8 a.m. behind South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in the rear parking lot (1613 N. McKenzie St.) with the 1-mile fun run/walk following at 9 a.m. There will be pink everywhere!  Those who wear their BEST Diva attire will be entered into the costume contest.  Men, women, and children are encouraged to participate.  Costume and run winners will be crowned with tiaras and donned with boas.  Food, fun, and entertainment will immediately follow the race.

For children 5 – 12 years old, pre-registration is $12. Day-of-event registration will be held from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. at the rear parking lot of South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Day-of-the race registration is $25 for the 5K and $20 for the walk and $15 for children. Children under 5 are admitted for free.
