The 16th annual Delta Woods & Waters Expo will return April 25, offering a full day of outdoor education and hands-on experiences at the Alabama Wildlife Foundation’s Delta and Bay Conservation Center.

The free event, open to the public, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 30945 5 Rivers Boulevard, located on the Causeway in Spanish Fort.

Sponsored by the city of Spanish Fort and hosted at the Alabama Wildlife Foundation, the expo highlights the natural beauty and ecological diversity of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, one of the largest river delta systems in the United States. Organizers say the event is designed to connect residents and visitors with the region’s abundant outdoor resources while encouraging conservation and stewardship.

The expo will feature a wide range of presentations, exhibits and interactive displays led by experienced outdoorsmen, educators, conservation professionals and enthusiasts. Attendees can take part in hands-on demonstrations that offer opportunities to learn new outdoor skills through one-on-one instruction, from fishing and boating basics to wildlife observation and environmental education.

The event’s mission centers on promoting responsible and enjoyable outdoor recreation through an engaging and educational experience for all ages. Families, beginners and seasoned outdoor enthusiasts alike are encouraged to attend.
