Deborah Jane Dalton, age 74, a resident of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away Friday,
October 7, 2022.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a graduate of Mound High School and earned
an AA Degree in Business Administration from St. Cloud State College. Debby was a
former resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama, Fargo, North Dakota and Atlanta, Georgia. Her southern roots were reinvigorated when she married Dave at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama. She
was active in the Gulf Breeze Sports Association, an avid boater, extreme animal lover,
and her family always came first.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marybell Mernik and her
brother, Bruce Mernik. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dave Dalton, Gulf
Breeze, Florida; daughter, Sherry Dalton, Gulf Breeze; son, David "DJ" (Jessica) Dalton,
Gulf Breeze; sister, Tamara (Wayne) Chisenhall, Gulf Breeze; brother Bill Mernik
(Madeleine), Plymouth, Minnesota; grandchildren, David "Tripp" Dalton Ill, and Logan
Turner, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at Memory
Gardens of Fairhope, Fairhope, Alabama.
