Posted

DAPHNE, Ala. — Annually the Junior League of Mobile Inc., which just opened a Daphne office, accepts proposals from nonprofit agencies in the greater Mobile and Baldwin County areas to assist in programs to benefit the local community. Junior League of Mobile Provisional Class members work on the selected projects throughout their first year in JLM.

JLM provides the initial funding of the project, which includes volunteer assistance from JLM.

Junior League of Mobile has allocated more than $10,000 and more than 600 volunteer hours to once again assist two local agencies in our community. Two projects will be selected from the submitted proposals. JLM will implement the programs in March 2011. The resources will be divided between the two agencies’ projects.

Proposals should be submitted by noon on Sept. 13. Forms are available online at www.juniorleaguemobile.org.

Junior League of Mobile is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Junior League of Mobile was founded in 1925 to assist the needs of our community.
