John C. Day, 96, a native of Opp and a resident of Stockton, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
He was a retired foreman at McMillan Veneer Mill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie M. Day.
Survivors include a son, John Raymond (Sylvia) Day of Stockton; two daughters, Doris (Dodd) Southern of Homestead, Fla., and Sharon (Joe Jr.) Stuckey of Bay Minette; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Fred Day of Stockton.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 26 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Mann officiating. Burial was in Richerson Cemetery in Stockton.
Active pallbearers were, Dodd A. Southern, Joe Stuckey Jr, John F. Day, Alan J. Day, Joe Stuckey III and John B. Allen III.
