Arlie Davis, 91, a native of Jacksonburg, W.Va., and a resident of Foley, died Saturday April 5, 2008, at a local nursing home.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Foley, for the last 25 years. As the wife of a full time active duty Air Force husband, she travelled throughout the United States and Germany. She was a full time homemaker, living in her home for 91 years. In July of 2007, 72 family members gathered to celerbrate her 90th birthday.

She was preceeded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul Arnold Davis.

Survivors include four daughters, June (Leroy) Hughes of Lawton, Okla., Pat White, of Lawton, Okla., Sharon (Gene) Davis of Summerdale, Marty (Eddie) Knight of Columbia, S.C.; four sons, Arnold (Wendy) Davis of Jacksonville, Fla., William (Diane) Davis of Foley, Larry (Ruby) Davis of Sanford, Fla., , Tom (Jane) Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; 29 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday April 8 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Annie Armstrong Mission Fund at Foley First Baptist Church, 221 N. Alston St., Foley.
