Dr. David W. Davis Jr., 76, a native of Birmingham and a resident of Bay Minette, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
He was a retired medical doctor in family practice and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his close friend and companion, Barbara Bryant of Bay Minette; three sons, Ward (Mary Alyce) Davis of Bay Minette, Joby (Laurie) Davis of Daphne and Clay D. Davis of Kingsport, Tenn.; two daughters, Casey (Tim) Lineberry of Rochester, Minn., and Lorrie Davis of Atlanta; sister, Patsy (Lynoid) Vaughn of Montgomery; and eight grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were held Wednesday, April 7 at Bay Minette Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. Visitation was held Tuesday, April 6 at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ward Davis, Joby Davis, Clay Davis, Charlie Earle, John Chason and Darrell Vaughn.
