David Nelson, 71, a native of Chicago and resident of Foley, died Thursday, April 10, 2014.
David was a best friend and loving husband, great brother, fun uncle and good neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand to all.
He was known to have more tools in his garage than the local car mechanic and enjoyed the challenge of using them to figure out how to fix anything and everything.
Married 45 years, David and his wife Lynn enjoyed traveling the country in their motor home, seeking new adventures on the open road.
In addition to his wife, Lynn, David is survived by his brother, Bruce (Karen) Nelson and nephews, Eric and Keith Nelson, all of Chicago.
He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley.
