It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Darrell Hamilton on Oct. 31st, 2025. He was born and raised in Bon Secour, Alabama. Darrell was a beloved brother, uncle, husband, grandfather, cherished friend, and a respected member of his community.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 34 years, Connie Yarbrough Hamilton, sister Rose Marie Parnell, son Hayden Champion, grandchildren Jasper and Daisy Champion, nieces and nephew, Logan and Sarah Parnell, and Maeleana Hamilton. Darrell was preceded in death by his brother Lewis Hamilton.
Darrell enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. He loved building things, growing his garden, and hanging out with family, and friends. He had a kind and giving heart. He worked hard to support his family and would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. From childhood onward, he carried with him the values of loyalty, hard work, and care for others,
His sudden departure has left a profound void on the lives of all who knew him. Though his time with us has ended, the kindness and love he extended, the memories he created, and the spirit he brought to family and friends will remain.
A memorial service will be announced by the family in due course.
