The wait is over.

The Chipotle Mexican Grill in Daphne will open to the public Friday, Jan. 5.

The Daphne location makes the second Chipotle Mexican Grill to open in Baldwin County. The first opened in Foley around the same time of year in 2022.

The Daphne location features a Chipotlane, a drive-through pickup lane that allows customers to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars. Digital orders can be placed by downloading the Chipotle Rewards app.

Daphne's Chipotle location brings 25 jobs to the area and is currently hiring. According to Annie Gradinger, Chipotle external communications, the fast-food chain offers benefits for employees that include:

  • Crew bonus with the opportunity to earn an extra month's worth of pay each year;
  • A debt-free college degree program; and English as a second language;
  • Access to mental health care for employees and their families.

Thanks to the opening date, Daphne guests can try the fan-favorite carne asada, which is available for a limited time.

The store will be open every day from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 914 Van Ave., Daphne.

For more information, visit www.chipotle.com.

Editors note:  This story reflects a delay in opening after originally being told the Daphne location would open Friday, Dec. 29.
