DAPHNE, Ala. — It may have been 8 in the morning but Daphne High School’s Trojans were wide awake — and in a celebratory mood — during a Thursday assembly honoring the 6A state champion football team.
Students sang and danced in the stands during a gathering that celebrated school spirit.
The city honored the Trojans — who won the Class 6A state championship game last Friday, defeating Hoover 7-6 — with a “Parade of Champions” Thursday on Main Street.
