DAPHNE — Interim fire Chief Kenny Hanak recently announced that the following firemen were promoted to lieutenant:

•Luke Andrews

•John Crawford

•Troy Gorlott

•Eric Hayes

•John Persson

•Ken Waites

These six positions were created this year, according to Hanak, who said the men will serve as supervisors of fire stations 3 and 4.

There will be two lieutenants per shift.

In order to be promoted the candidates underwent a three-part testing process, which included a written test, a skills test and an oral interview board.

“These positions will add depth to our existing rank structure and will increase efficiency of our department,” Hanak said in an e-mail to The Bulletin.
