The Alabama High School Volleyball Coaches Association (AHSVCA) announced their all-state teams at the end of last week and featured six players from Baldwin County, three each from Daphne High School and Bayside Academy.
The Admirals claimed their 21st consecutive state title after they fell in the Class 6A Area 2 Tournament championship game and the Trojans earned the No. 2 seed from the regular season in Class 7A Area 2 but fell in the area tournament.
Bayside Academy’s three all-staters were all named to the first team roster between junior outside hitter Maysie Douglas, junior setter Blakeley Robbins and sophomore middle block Misty Kate Smith. The latter two were also named to the All-State Tournament Team where Robbins was tournament MVP.
Daphne’s all-state representatives were split with two second-team selections and another honorable mention. Freshman outside hitter Ella Lomax and senior middle block Janiyah King landed on the second-team all-state and senior libero Madison Hammond was the Trojans’ all-state honorable mention.
