Posted

The Daphne Animal Shelter, in partnership with NBC Universal Local, will host its second annual Clear the Shelter kickoff event Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., launching a weeklong effort to help find homes for shelter animals across the region.

Sponsored by Bryant Bank, the event will bring together multiple animal welfare organizations and community partners at the Daphne Animal Shelter.

The Azalea City Cat Coalition will be on site throughout the day offering cat adoptions for $100. The Baldwin County Animal Shelter and the City of Mobile Animal Services will also participate, bringing dogs from their shelters that will be available for adoption.

Tractor Supply will offer 15% off pet supplies to customers who provide proof of a new adoption from the event.

Resting Rainbow Pet Cremation of Alabama will be on site to provide information about its pet services, including end-of-life care options.

In addition to adoption opportunities, attendees can enjoy food trucks and a bounce house sponsored by the Daphne Fire Department.
