Dan R. Cox, born July 24, 1936 in Florala, Ala. and a 50-year resident of Spanish Fort, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vittoria (Vicki) Italia Cox; four children, Joseph (Sheri) Cox, Regina (Carl) Andrews, Thomas Cox and Didi (Charles) Early; two granddaughters, Gabriella and Francesca Cox; nephews, Edward Cox Jr. and Dale R. (Ketnika) Cox; nieces, Karen Simmons and Paula (Terry) Nelson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was a faithful Witness of Jehovah in the Daphne congregation for more than 39 years.
He retired from Scott Paper Co. after 34 years of employment.
He was a 1953 graduate of Murphy High School.
A memorial service will be held at the Fairhope Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witneses, 8730 Gayfer Ave. Ext. in Fairhope at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013.
