Dale Ruth (Sanders) Woodham, 56, was born Sept. 6, 1955, in Columbus, Ga. She died at her home in Spanish Fort on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, after a long bout with cancer.
Dale was raised in the Andalusia area and attended Straughn High School. She advanced her education at MacArthur State Technical Institute, the University of Mobile and Faulkner State Community College, graduating from their nursing program. She was a skilled LPN and worked for Mercy Medical in Daphne.
She had been a resident of Spanish Fort for the past 20 years.
Dale is survived by her son, Rip Woodham and a sister, Alice (Sanders) Bailey and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Hughes Funeral Home in Daphne. Graveside services and interment will be at 3 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Opp.
