Dale Eugene Brown, 80, a native and resident of t he Crossroads Community of Bay Minette, died Thursday, March 23, 2011 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
He was a retired foreman for International Paper Company and had previously worked at Brookley Field for 16 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by a son, Neal Brown; his parents, Louise and Nolia Brown; three brothers, Cecil Brown, Walter Brown and Oscar Brown; and four sisters, Gladys Quinley, Edna Broughton, Myrtle Duck and Freddie Jordan.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Ellis Brown of Bay Minette; son, Ronald E. (Sarah) Brown of Eight Mile; two daughters, Lisa B. (Kenneth) Hastings and Janet B. (Michael McCrory) Rolin, all of Bay Minette; brother, Lawrence Brown of Bay Minette; grandchildren, Walter (Marie) House, Jason (Audrey) House, Kenny Rolin, Noel McCrory, Johnathan Hastings and Jenny Hastings; and one great-grandson, Nolia Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 27 at Durant Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Durant Chapel Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Michael McCrory, Kenneth Hastings, Johnathan Hastings, Walt House, Jason House and Greg Burt. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Rolin, Keen Cottrell, Ray Rieben and Devin House.
