Catherine Lucille Currie, 81, of Bolivia, N.C., died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 7, 1926 in Baldwin County, the daughter of the late Mark and Minnie Blackman Aaron. She was a Registered Nurse.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ted Thome.
Survivors include her husband, David Currie; son Richard Thome of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Joree O’Neal of Olive Springs, Tenn., and B.J. McCullough of Bolivia; brother, Jim Aaron of Ohio; sister Sue Cooke of Alabama; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18 from the chapel of Peacock-Newnam and White Funeral Service in Southport, N.C., with Pastor Tracy McCrary and Pastor Ronald Smith officiating.
