SILVERHILL, Ala. — The Town of Silverhill will hold its first Little Miss Heritage Pageant at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at Silverhill School.
There will be a rehearsal at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8.
The pageant is open to kindergarten and first grade girls in public or private schools of Baldwin County. The girls will be judged on poise, appearance and personality. The girls will be asked one onstage question.
The registration form must be completed and returned to the Pageant Committee with the $20 non-refundable entry fee and photograph of contestant postmarked on or before Friday, Sept. 24. There are two additional optional contests, Most Photogenic and Prettiest Dress, which are an additional $5 per contest.
Contestants may wear any appropriate dress including: “Sunday” dresses, Heirloom dresses and pageant dresses. Casual dress is worn at rehearsal.
There will be a winner crowned “Little Miss Heritage” and four runner-ups. There will also be additional contests; a “Most Photogenic” winner and “Prettiest Dress” winner.
Little Miss Heritage will receive a crown, sash, trophy, flowers and $100 savings bond. Runners-up will receive a trophy and flowers. The winner and runners-up will have a float in the Town of Silverhill Heritage Day Parade and the Town of Silverhill Christmas Parade. The winner of “Most Photogenic” and “Prettiest Dress” will also receive a trophy.
Each contestant will receive a “Little Miss Heritage” t-shirt.
