Doris Conklin, 70, a native of New Jersey, and a resident of Summerdale died Friday March 20, 2009.
She was the first woman president of the Metro new Jersey Home Builders Association in 1984. She was named Builder of The Year in Metro New Jersey, in 1984.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Conklin of Summerdale; two sons, Don Ginkel of Biloxi, Miss., and Jacj Ginkel of Chasy, N.Y.; daughter, Kelly Predogevic of West Patterson, N.J.; brother, Richard Paternoster of Saraland; two grandchildren, Michael and Tina Predogevic; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, March 24 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 25 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church. Burial followed at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
