Community Bank announces leadership changes in Baldwin County and corporate operations

Community Bank has announced two leadership changes, naming Chase Schmidt president of Baldwin County and William “Bill” C. Kilduff executive vice president of corporate operations.

Eric Chambless, chief executive officer for Community Bank’s Coast Region, announced Schmidt’s promotion. Justin Martin, president and chief executive officer of Community Bank, announced Kilduff’s new role.

Schmidt, a native of Asheville, North Carolina, most recently served as senior vice president. He has 15 years of experience in banking and finance.

As president of Baldwin County, Schmidt will oversee and support employees at Community Bank’s Daphne, Fairhope and Gulf Shores offices. He also will manage and grow his loan and deposit portfolio while focusing on business development and growth throughout the Baldwin County market.

Schmidt earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Psychology from Auburn University. He is a graduate of the Alabama Banking School, where he was named Co-Valedictorian, as well as the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.

He has been active in the community, previously serving as president of the Kiwanis Club of Daphne/Spanish Fort. He currently serves as the organization’s treasurer and served as a Class Director for the Alabama Banking School from 2021-2023.

Schmidt and his wife, Janna, have been married for 15 years and have three children, Charlie, Cece and Will. The family lives in Fairhope and attends Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne.

Kilduff, a native of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, most recently served as president of Community Bank’s Alabama Coast Division, where he oversaw operations in Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama as well as Escambia County, Florida.

He brings 22 years of banking and finance experience, including 19 years with Community Bank, to his new position. As executive vice president of corporate operations, Kilduff will support corporate operations and overall bank management.

Kilduff earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from the University of Mississippi and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Advisors for the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, as a Foundation Ambassador for the Infirmary Foundation and as an advisory member of the CCIM Institute. He also is a member of the Mississippi Bankers Association and Alabama Bankers Association.

Kilduff and his wife, Jaclyn, have one daughter, Eleanor. The family will relocate to Flowood, Mississippi, as he takes on his new responsibilities.
