BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Are you a fan of Rumi? Great! You dig Maya Angelou or Robert Frost? Fabulous! Are you a big haiku fan? How about sonnets? Do you write your own poetry? Marvelous! Let no era or poetic form go unrepresented at “An Evening of Poetry” in Bay Minette.

The nonprofit organization Young Man Visions, Old Man Dreams has partnered with the Bay Minette Public Library to bring a celebration of poetry to Bay Minette. Together we are calling all poets and poetry lovers to join us on Saturday, April 25 at 5 p.m. to share and consume their favorite pieces in observation of National Poetry Month. There is absolutely no cost to attend or participate in this event. Participation is free and open to all ages.

If you are interested in presenting at the poetry reading please let us know by filling out our sign up form on YMVOMD’s Website ymvomd.org/#bayminettepoetry/c6xg.

Don’t want to read for the event? That’s okay. Come on out anyhow and enjoy a nice, relaxing evening of verse and good company with fellow poetry enthusiasts.

This event will be picnic style so bring your lawn/camping chairs, some snacks, and sit back and enjoy the poetic goods your neighbors have to share with you. It's going to be a great time. Can’t wait to see you there.
